Dry hire means that the Client provides the alcohol and Roaming Spirits Mobile Bar provides the rest.

About the Owners and Business

Josh and Makayla are both registered nurses. Their background is in healthcare, but throughout their own wedding searches (in 2023) they quickly realized that there were not many bartending options that were as customizable as they had desired. Thus, Roaming Spirits Mobile Bar was created to offer services catered to the Client and their specific needs. Josh and Makayla wanted to emphasize a simple pricing plan while also providing a service that exceeds expectation. Josh is BLS, ACLS, EKG and stroke certified and currently is a registered nurse in Kentucky. Makayla is BLS certified and is a registered nurse manager in Kentucky.

What exactly does Roaming Spirits Mobile Bar do?

Roaming Sprits Mobile Bar provides everything except the alcohol and mixers. We have two bars that can be used. One bar is 3.5 feet and the other is 6 feet. The 3.5 foot bar is a single bartender bar and the 6 foot bar is for two bartenders to serve. One or both bars can be used depending on your needs and venue spacing. Roaming Spirits Mobile Bar sets up the bar in the venue (indoors or outdoors), provides coolers for canned beverages, provides basic garnishes, provides plastic cups, custom bar menu, bareware, and bartenders. Roaming Spirits is aimed at being a one cost price point to keep it simple and stress free to you.

What is a DRY hire mobile bartending service?

A dry hire mobile bar refers to renting the physical bar setup and equipment without the inclusion of alcohol. Essentially, you get the bar structure, furniture, and tools needed to serve drinks, but you'll be responsible for providing your own alcohol and mixers. This type of hire is ideal for those who already have a plan for catering or drinks or to those who want to customize their bar experience for an event, like a wedding or corporate gathering. Thus, the Client provides the alcohol and mixers. Roaming Spirits Mobile Bar provides the rest.
Does Roaming Spirits Mobile Bar have a trailer?

No. We currently do not offer that service. Hopefully in the future we will be able to. As of right now we are able to offer a 3.5ft wood bar and a 6ft wood bar. Both bars are collapsable and can be placed inside or outside.
Does Roaming Spirits Mobile Bar have a liquor license?

Roaming Spirits Mobile Bar does not currently have a liquor license. The reasoning for that is because liquor licenses are costly and can vary by county. Being a mobile service means that we would have to carry multiple liquor licenses to ensure compliance. Thus, we have developed our business model on being a dry hire.
Is Roaming Spirits Mobile Bar insured?

Roaming Spirits Mobile Bar carries their own insurance and is an independent LLC.
Is it legal to provide alcohol without a liquor license?

Roaming Spirits Mobile Bar provides a service to the client and that service is bartending. Thus, making this buisness model 100% legal as long as there are no alcohol sales that take place. Roaming Spirits Mobile Bar has an upfront service cost, but does not directly sell alcohol. This has all been investigated and confirmed by Finney Law Firm Small Business Solutions Group.

All Roaming Spirits Mobile Bar bartenders are STAR certified.
